That is a question I have been asked many times and here it what I have learned in working with teens and
pre-teens over the last six years:
Traditionally our Youth Ministry (The Gathering) went from 6th to 12th grades, and many 6th graders jumped in and did very well. However, many did not. The more reserved 6th graders came in week after week scared to death, very quite, never got involved, and eventually quite coming to church. So the purpose of fifty6 is to transition all pre-teens from "Children's Ministries" into to a wide open sold out Youth Ministry. We truly hold to the "No Student Left Behind Theory" I can assure you as Parents that ALL of the Youth Leaders and myself take this job very seriously. So please pray for the fifty6 program and for it's leaders as we continue to do the work that God has called us to do.
It's Worth It,
Pastor Andy
