The question "What now" can either be exciting or depressing I guess it depends on how you look at it. I can say this for sure though, The people at Sinclair are awsome. When I think about Sinclair that is what comes to my mind.This body has been through so much over the years What Now ? I was there in Oct.99 when the Union Recorder ran a frontline story "Local Pastor arrested for exposing himself" What Now? As bad as that situation was (and it was bad)the body became closer than ever before (we became one)was it because of our Pastor and his situation ? No, it was because even though we didn't all agree whether or not the Pastor should leave,the one thing that we did agree on as a body, was the way he left.Unlike this time the Church lovley agreed to be gentle as we said our good by's.One of the greatest examples of unity is found in Phil.2.Paul begins by saying that we are united with Jesus Christ.We have comfort in His love,We have the ability (because of Christ) to show tenderness and compassion.He goes on to say that we are to be like Christ in the way we deal with one another.Notice vs 3 " Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,but in humility consider others better than yourselves.Church thats what I see different this time around.Its not whether or not it was time for the Pastor to leave,its how he was asked to leave.I just hope and pray that like in 1999 that SBC will come togather in unity,because the Church is not to be "RAN" by men who have all the plans,but rather it is to be lovenly led by the Spirt of Christ though unity of the Body. That's my thought for today. What Now ??
